Samantha Colburn is an award-winning performer who grew up in South Dakota and has been on stage since the age of four.  From her beginnings in music and dance it was a very small leap to acting in musical theatre with such starring roles as Maria in The Sound of Music and Rosie in Bye, Bye, Birdie as well as being a top ten finalist at the National Forensic League’s National Speech Tournament.

Samantha went on to receive degrees in acting, music, and journalism from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she won best actress awards two years in a row and starred in roles such as Janet in The Rocky Horror Show and Gwendolyn in Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest.

Throughout her career she has performed on stages in New York City, Chicago, Orlando, and Minneapolis just to name a few.  Since moving to Los Angeles to pursue her career in film, she has appeared in films such as Cannes Film Festival selection Cessation with the talented Dennis Haysbert and South By Southwest (SXSW) film festival favorite Out of Nowhere.

She made her television debut as Dr. Marta Torrez opposite Hugh Laurie on House, MD and more recently was seen with Kristen Bell and Don Cheadle on Showtime’s House of Lies and on ABC Family’s Jane by Design with Andie MacDowell.  Currently, she is in post-production for three feature films and in pre-production for two additional projects.
